Spokane County Commissioner Al French has been elected Secretary by the Board of Directors of the Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington (MRSC). As a result of his election, French will automatically become MRSC Vice-President in 2014 and President in 2015. Commenting on his election, French stated, “I am proud to represent Spokane County and counties across the state, especially as we deal with issues and programs that either reduce costs or improve services for our citizens.” Commissioner French also serves on the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC) Board of Directors as one of four Eastern Region Representatives.
The Municipal Research and Services Center (MRSC) is a private, non-profit organization based in Seattle, Washington. Their mission is to promote excellence in Washington local government through professional consultation, research and information technology services.
MRSC’s information and research services are available free of charge to elected officials and staff of Washington city and county governments as well as to officials and staff of Special Purpose Districts that are members of Association of Washington Public Hospital Districts (AWPHD), Washington Association of Sewer & Water Districts (WASWD) or the Enduris Insurance Pool.
