Revised Code of Washington (RCW)

Washington Administrative Code (WAC)

The Washington Administrative Code is a compilation of official agency rules adopted by various state agencies to implement the provisions of the RCW. They have the full effect of law. Following are WAC's applicable to the Department of Building and Planning.

With the passage of SHB 1734, the Council adopted and amended the 2003 editions of the International Code Council's Building, Mechanical, and Fire Codes published by the International Code Council on November 21, 2003. The 2003 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials was also adopted and amended. Editorial changes were made to the State Energy Code and Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code to coordinate with the new codes. The effective date of the 2003 codes will be July 1, 2004.
