Substance Abuse Treatment

Substance Abuse Treatment Services are supported by state and federal funding from the Department of Alcohol and Substance Abuse and Office of Financial Management.

Spokane County contracts with certified substance abuse treatment agencies to provide treatment services.  Services offered include screening, assessment, referral to the appropriate level of care, outpatient treatment, detoxification, methadone treatment, involuntary commitment services, sobering, childcare for parents in treatment, etc.  A full list of our contracted providers is on the Accessing Treatment Resources page.

Treatment is immediately available to anyone with Title XIX medical coupons and General Assistance for Unemployable (GAU) medical coupons.  Treatment may also be available to people who are low income and under 220% of poverty level.

Access to Recovery (ATR) can pay for treatment services for military service people who are not in treatment with the Veteran’s Administration.  See the ATR page for more information about Access to Recovery.
