The Spokane County Elections Office has certified the results of the August 18th Primary Election. Staff counted 84,955 ballots, which represents a voter turnout of 32.80 percent.
In the final results, Spokane County voters supported of Proposition 1 – and renewed the one-tenth of one-percent Criminal Justice & Public Safety Sales and Use Tax by 61.69 percent. The countywide sales tax raises approximately $7.1 million annually that helps fund criminal justice and public safety programs, services and personnel.
