SCRAPS Will be at the Interstate Fair With Adoptable Pets

September 09, 2009 Nancy Hill
Director of SCRAPS
(509) 477-1967

SCRAPS has something to Bark and Meow About! Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) is partnering with the Spokane Humane Society, SpokAnimal C.A.R.E., and Pet Savers in a collaborative booth at the fair. The booth, open from September 11th through the 20th and located in Bay 2, will feature dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens for adoption. Educational materials as well as knowledgeable staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions.

“This is a great opportunity for these organizations to get out in the community and offer information on the services they provide” said Nancy Hill, Director of SCRAPS. “Last year was a huge success as we adopted over 80 deserving pets to their forever homes, we are looking forward to an outstanding turnout again this year” continued Ms. Hill.

A goal of 101 adoptions has been set as Radio Spokane Oldies 101.1 promotes pet adoption at the fair. On September 19th SCRAPS is pleased to be featured at the KHQ booth from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you at the Spokane County Interstate Fair.
