The Spokane Regional Council of Governments will convene on Friday, September 11, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the Fair and Expo Center (404 N. Havana, Spokane Valley). The meeting will bring together elected officials and public policy administrators from throughout Spokane County to discuss issues of regional importance, including an update on the proposed Transportation Benefit District, election concerns, and the H1N1 Influenza.
The meeting will be preceded by the opening ceremony for the 2009 Spokane County Interstate Fair at 9:45 a.m. The ceremony will include a military presence to commemorate the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. Please join us at the main entrance to the Fair and Expo Center, just east of Avista Stadium. After the opening ceremony, the Spokane Regional Council of Governments will convene from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Conference Facility at the Fair and Expo Center.
