Spokane County Building and Codes Enforcement Director Randy Vissia, who also holds County Fire Code Official responsibilities, has rescinded the Burning Ban Order for any unauthorized “open burning” and recreational fires within the unincorporated areas of Spokane County. After consulting with local Fire Protection agencies, it was determined that the current burn ban should be lifted. For more information, contact Codes Administrator Art Erickson at 477-3675.
Lifting the burn ban also means that Spokane County’s ORV Park in Liberty Lake has been reopened to the public. The park had been closed during the burn ban to reduce the risk of wildfires. For more information about the ORV Park, contact Park Ranger Bryant Robinson at (509) 998-8807.
