From October 23rd through October 25th, SCRAPS, SpokAnimal and the Spokane Humane Society are having a “Feline Frenzy” weekend and are waiving the adoption fees for all cats over the age of six months. Similar promotions have been run all over the country, from New York City to Tampa, FL, and the results are consistently positive: cats find loving homes and people find loving cats. Just recently SCRAPS ran a similar special and adopted 58 cats in one weekend alone.
“We are really inundated with cats right now,” said Nancy Hill, SCRAPS Director. “There are so many furry felines looking for a permanent loving home so we are giving them the best chance we can by waiving our adoption fees.”
While all adoption fees will be waived, licensing fees and the standard policies and procedures for adoption will remain in place. Every new pet comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
