Today, Tuesday, June 12th, the Spokane County Prosecutors Office ruled a homicide that happened Sunday morning, May 13th, in Newman Lake was justified. The Newman Lake homeowner and his girlfriend were awoken at about 1:00 a.m. by an adult male that had
broke into the residence and fired several rounds from two firearms at the homeowner. The homeowner returned fire and struck the intruder who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
