Superior Court Administrator's Office
The Superior Court Administrator has the responsibility to plan, organize, and direct all non-judicial activities and court operations of the Superior Court in Spokane County. The Administrator serves as chief staff adviser to the Superior Court judges, Board of County Commissioners, and various other departments and agencies on all non-judicial and administrative issues for the Superior Court. The Administrator serves at the pleasure of the Superior Court Judges for Spokane County.
The Administrator is accountable to the presiding Superior Court judge and works closely with the judge, to identify policy alternatives. The Administrator works under broad directives with considerable latitude for independent judgment to effectively implement the goals and decisions of the Judge and of the Board of County Commissioners and provides ongoing status reports of significant activities and programs and/or actions to be taken which are consistent with statutory guidelines or regulations.
Superior Court ADA Coordinator
The Superior Court ADA Coordinator is responsible to assist with Disability and Accommodation inquiries of the court.
BECCA Court Facilitator
The BECCA Court Facilitator is responsible for managing and scheduling at risk youth (ARY) and child in need of services (CHINS) hearings. The BECCA facilitator assists unrepresented ("pro se") litigants with the court process and paperwork. The BECCA facilitator cannot give legal advice, but can help identify the correct forms, explain local procedures and review documents for completeness.
Civil Court Coordinator
The Civil Court Coordinator is responsible for the management of the Mandatory Arbitration Program and assignment of civil cases to IC Court Departments.
Criminal Court Coordinator
The Criminal Court Coordinator is responsible for the management and scheduling of criminal cases. The criminal coordinator is also responsible for coordination of all in-custody transports to and from Superior Court departments.
Court House Facilitator (Family Law)
The Court House Facilitator (Family Law) is responsible for independently providing information and technical assistance under Title 26 RCW to litigants of diverse ages, social, economic, cultural and education backgrounds who are representing themselves ("pro se").
Family Law Coordinator
The Family Law Coordinator is responsible for the management of all related family law calendars and events scheduled with various Court Commissioners.
Financial Coordinator
The Financial Coordinator is responsible for the financial management of the Superior Court. The financial coordinator is also responsible for purchasing and personnel management of the Superior Court.
Jury Coordinator
The Jury Coordinator is responsible for the management and processing of jurors for Superior, District and Municipal Courts.
Juvenile Court Coordinator
The Juvenile Court Coordinator is responsible for the management and scheduling of trials, shelter care hearings, dependency reviews, and administrative support to the Juvenile Court Judge and two Juvenile Court Commissioners.
Truancy Coordinator
The Truancy Coordinator manages and coordinates the truancy program in regards to the Becca Bill. The Truancy Coordinator sets and prepares all dockets for court and coordinates all truancy hearings by making sure all parties are ready for court as well as making copies for all parties involved in each court proceeding. The coordinator also trains all school districts on how to fill out the forms they file with the court.
