Indoor Water Conservation
Starting August 1, 2009, Spokane County is offering up to $100 rebates to residents living within the County Sewer Service Area for purchasing high efficiency toilets and water efficient clothes washers. The goal of the program is to reduce the amount of water flowing from residences into the sewer. Reducing the amount of water flowing to the sewer helps to reduce infrastructure and operations costs.
Check your eligibility
- Only residences are eligible for rebates
- Only legal owners of a residence are eligible for rebates
- Residences must be within Spokane County Sewer Service Area
- Blue or green shaded areas within map for North Spokane or Valley
- Or residents connected to County sewer in the Hangman Hills neighborhood
- Residents are allow to replace one clothes washer and one or two toilets per facility
Find an eligible product
- Toilets
- The toilet being replaced must use 3.5 gallons per flush or more
- Original toilets in home built 1994 or sooner use less than 1.6 gallons per flush and are not eligible
- Homes built between 1992 and 1994 may have eligible toilets for replacement
- Original toilets in home built before 1992 are eligible
- Replacement toilets must be certified as a WaterSense High Efficiency Toilet. WaterSense toilets use 1.28 gallons per flush or less.
- Clothes washers
- Clothes washing machines must be certified as ENERGY STAR
