The Ambassador's Award, given to any one, any exhibit, or any booth, was awarded to the Quichua Mashis (Ecuadorian Musicians) in 2006.

Special Award Winners

Each year the Fair gives five outstanding achievement awards to exhibitors at the Spokane County Interstate Fair for their efforts. This year's Red, White and Blue Award winners were:
  • Home Boys (Outside Commercial)
  • Inland Northwest Wildlife Council (Auxiliary Building Commercial)
  • K Diamond K Guest Ranch (Bay 1 Commercial)
  • Shepard's Ice Cream Shoppe (Portable Food Booth)
  • Spokane Valley Kiwanis (Permanent Structure Food)
The Fair also gave a special award to the food or commercial booth that tied into this year's Fair Theme (Bushels of Fun for Everyone) most closely. This year's award was given to Bartlett's Bakers Dozen (Food). Congratulations.

Washington State Fair Commission Black & White Award

Each year the Fair is visited by a State Fair Commissioner who has the awesome responsibility to select one or two outstanding exhibit(s) at the Fair. This year's winners were Bay 3 (Linda Costich / Leroy and Vicki Nielsen / Anita Raddatz / Louise Wells) and Dolly Hughes (Fair and Expo Center Director).
