Attention Deputy Sheriff Entry Level Applicants - The Spokane County Sheriff's Office is now covering Public Safety Testing (PST) exam fees (read on for details)!
Applicants who select the Spokane County Sheriff's Office as one of the two initial agencies selected will have their $55 written exam and PAT testing fee covered. Written exams must be completed in-person at a PST administered exam site throughout the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, at a PST authorized college or testing center, or administered via PST’s online, in-home testing program. First attempt Physical Ability Tests (PATs) administered at a PST test site throughout the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, or via PST’s V-PAT in-home testing session would qualify.
Examples of fees covered for the Public Safety Testing Law Enforcement Written Exam and Washington Physical Ability Test (PAT):
Applicants can have their scores sent to as many agencies as they like; however, additional agencies beyond the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office may have additional costs that will not be covered by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office; costs incurred for additional agency selections will be the responsibility of the tester. Any cancellation or rescheduling fees, PATs proctored at Anytime Fitness, other test administration fees related to testing at another authorized test center, and/or other additional fees not stipulated will be covered in full by the applicant. The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office does not cover the $15 remote testing fee or any testing fee charged by a testing center; there may also be other remote testing fees that are not covered. The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office does not cover any additional fees if an applicant fails any portion of a test and must schedule a re-examination. For more information and specific questions regarding these fees, please contact Public Safety Testing directly.
Examples of fees NOT covered by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (this list is not a comprehensive list; these would be the tester’s responsibility to pay for)
