The Spokane County Water Resource Center (WRC) is a regional educational facility with interactive displays related to area aquifer and river knowledge, water reclamation and many other water resource issues.
A
WRC visit and a
walking tour of the adjacent Spokane County Regional Water Reclamation Facility are separate events but can be combined. Appointments are necessary but we attempt to be flexible and available.
Teachers
When you bring your class here, our goal is to provide lessons that will help you meet the applicable Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), aka Washington State Science Learning Standards (WSSLS), including practices, crosscutting concepts and disciplinary core ideas. Link to our
Education Programs page to learn more.
Community/Civic Tours
Contact us to arrange a guided visit at the WRC (groups of 10 or more) with enhanced activities and optional Reclamation Facility tours. Visit the
Education Programs page for all ages information or the
Water Reclamation Facility page specifically for adult tours of the facility.
Open House, Family Day and Public Tour Events
These are announced opportunities to visit when you can be assured of access to the WRC and, weather-permitting, a walking tour of the reclamation facility.
