Monroe Street Preservation, Improvements and Stormwater Retrofit

Project Start:  Spring/Summer 2017

Project Description:  This project will grind and inlay 2" of HMA for the existing pavement.  There will be traffic signal improvements, upgrades and pedestrian countdown improvements that will require modifications at the Wall/Monroe intersection.  ADA ramp improvements will be constructed.  Stormwater improvements will include catch basins and piping to convey stormwater to new bio-infiltration swales for stormwater treatment and disposal.

Project construction costs are estimated at $1.8 million dollars.  Funding for the project is from federal aid, Washington State Department of Ecology, local road funds and local Stormwater Utility fund.
