The four voting members that make up the
Centennial Trail Coordinating Council - Spokane County, cities of Spokane and Spokane Valley and Washington State Parks - contribute $20,000 each annually to fund repairs and improvements to the 39-mile Centennial Trail. A
Six Year Maintenance Plan developed by the members guides how and where those funds are used. In 2016, the Coordinating Council contracted with Spokane County Public Works to inspect 37 miles of trail (excluding the new, two mile "Nine Mile Extension") and identified needed repairs. Arrow Concrete & Asphalt Specialties was awarded the bid to complete the identified repairs. The result of this work will be a smoother ride and a safer trail.
Other partners on this project include
Friends of the Centennial Trail and Spokane County Public Works Department.
Project Timeline: Repair work has been completed.
