Team Up to Clean Up

Thanks to a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology, Geiger Work Crew, and the Spokane County Regional Solid Waste System have teamed up offer a new opportunity for community-minded volunteers – “Team Up to Clean Up”!

Throughout the year, Spokane County roads and trails become cluttered with trash. It’s unsightly, unsanitary, and presents a variety of risks for wildlife. The good news is that you can help by organizing a group of volunteers to spend a few hours cleaning up trash along the road/trail…and the Geiger Work Crew has everything you need.

Get a group together, select a county road or trail, send in the completed Litter Pick-Up Event Submission Form (will not work with the Internet Explorer browser) or fill out the submission form below, and you’ll be contacted by Sgt. Tim Atchison at They will provide safety vests, gloves, litter claws/pickers, bags, traffic cones and signage. They will also pick up the bagged trash and recyclables. The Spokane County Regional Solid Waste System will then dispose of the litter without charging a tipping fee.

So – let’s “Team Up to Clean Up”!
