Behavioral Health Advisory Board

The Spokane County Regional Service Area Behavioral Health Advisory Board (BHAB) consists of at least 13 members appointed by the Spokane County Board of Commissioners. Members are chosen for their demonstrated concern for mental health and/or substance use disorder issues. Members of the Board are representative of the community.  We encourage members of minority groups and people in recovery and resilience to participate in our Advisory Board. It is helpful in the review process if applicants identify themselves as people in recovery or as a member of a minority group.

During each calendar year, the BHAB must hold at least four (4) meetings on a regular basis and can schedule special (additional) meetings as needed. All meetings will either be held in a location of sufficient size to allow members of the public to attend in person or will be held via an electronic, video virtual meeting platform (e.g. Teams, Zoom etc.). Due to the Coronavirus-19 pandemic, the board meetings are currently held strictly using the Zoom meeting platform, If you are interested in applying for the Behavioral Health Advisory Board, please print the application and supplemental linked below, complete and sign the documents, and mail them to the Spokane County Regional Behavioral Health Administrative Services Organization, c/o CSHCD, 1116 W.
