Mission-and-Values-PNGThe Spokane County Superior Court Guardianship Monitoring Program was implemented to improve the Superior Court's ability to monitor guardian/conservator or trust handling of the ongoing care and financial affairs of Spokane County's vulnerable individuals under court-supervised guardianships/conservatorships or trusts.

The court utilizes trained volunteers in a variety of ways to assist the court in monitoring open and active guardianships/conservatorships or trusts in Spokane County Superior Court.

Responsibilities of the GMP include:

  • To research the Official Court files of guardianships/conservatorships or trusts referred to as being delinquent.
  • To determine the nature of the delinquency and to contact the Guardian(s)/Conservator(s)/Trustee(s), and/or the attorney, if not withdrawn, and/or the bonding company if bond has been filed, to advise of the delinquency and make arrangements for the delinquent filings to be made.
