The Public Records Office was established in 2018 to assist the public by facilitating public records requests and to support Spokane County employees with public records management, retention, and disclosure. Our mission is to promote transparency and responsible stewardship of public records. ScheduleThe Public Records Office does not have a public counter. However, the office is open from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, and can be reached by telephone or email during those hours. The Recording Department of the Spokane County Auditor's Office is charged with recording real estate documents, liens, military discharges, maps and surveys. The recording department also issues Marriage License, County Business License and Process Server License.

Yes. If you would like to inspect public records on-site, a staff member will assist you with setting a records inspection appointment.
The days and times of availability vary depending on the specific Spokane County department or agency in which the records reside. Once any responsive records are compiled for your request, you will be advised as to your options regarding appointment times.
