A metal detector permit is required for property owned and managed by Spokane County Parks, Recreation & Golf subject to certain rules and restrictions. The annual Metal Detector permit fee is $10 and can be obtained one of two ways.
- Visit our Admin office, located at 404 N Havana, between the hours of 8-4:30, Monday-Thursday, or before noon on Friday, and someone in our office will be able to assist you. Walk out the door with your permit!
- Call our Admin office at (509)-477-4730 and pay for your permit over the phone! A Spokane County representative will then mail you your permit.
Spokane County Parks, Recreation and Golf owns and/or manages 15,000 acres of parkland. Once your permit is issued, you are fully responsible for knowing where this permit applies. Certain areas are excluded from the Metal Detector Permit/metal detecting, including golf courses and conservation areas. Learn more about the regulations here.
