Public Works Update: Public asked to make sewer payments by phone, mail or online

Access to the fourth-floor of the Spokane County Public Works Building is severely limited until further notice. The fourth floor is the location for the Environmental Services Department, including Sewer Billing and the Regional Solid Waste System.

Sewer bills are due by Wednesday, March 25th and we are asking the public to pay their bills by phone, mail or online.

* Payments by Phone: Monthly sewer charges can be paid by telephone using your bank account, debit card or credit card. Call 1-866-315-6352 for more information.

* Payments Online: To make payments using your credit card or bank account, visit us at www.spokanecounty.org/es

* Payments by Mail: Please submit your payment stubs (along with a check or money order) payable to Spokane County Environmental Services to P.O. Box 2355, Spokane, WA 99210-2355. Please do not mail cash!

If you have no other option than to pay your sewer bill in person, a dropbox is available in the Treasurer's Office and also inside the main entrance to the County Courthouse (1116 W. Broadway Avenue).

Those needing assistance with sewer design plans are encouraged to call (509) 477-3604 to make an appointment. Walk-in traffic may come to the fourth floor and they will be served one-at-a-time. Consequently, this may result in a waiting line.

The public's patience and understanding is appreciated at this challenging time for our community. For more information go to www.spokanecounty.org/es or call (509) 477-3604.
