Effective March 16th, Spokane County Veterans Services Office began responding to clients by providing the option for phone and online communication

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - March 18, 2020 – Effective Monday, March 16th, Spokane County Veterans Services Office began responding to clients by providing the option for phone and online communication so veterans and their families can still reach the office for veteran services, claims and benefit questions.

For the safety of clientele, the Center has suspended in-office appointments and classes at this time. Case by case exceptions will be considered only for emergent situations.

Administrator for Spokane County & Eastern Washington Regional Veterans Services, Cathrene Nichols, stated, “We are deeply concerned for veterans and their loved ones in these uncertain times of COVID-19. Information is rapidly changing and we, like everyone else, are working hard to keep up, remain transparent, and follow directives from our local, state, and federal regulators. As always, the highest priority to us is the safety and well-being of our veteran participants, partners, and community.”

Veterans Services will continue to monitor the mandates, updates, and recommendations from the CDC and Spokane County Regional Health.
