[ARCHIVED] Fatal Crash on South Adams in Spokane Valley

Spokane Valley Traffic Unit Investigators are at the scene of a one vehicle fatality collision in the 2200 block of S. Adams Rd. in Spokane Valley.  Adams will be closed for the investigation, between 24th and 22nd, until approximately 3:00 p.m.  Please use an alternate route and avoid the area.

This morning at approximately 9:45 a.m., Spokane Valley Deputies responded to an injury collision in the 2200 block of S. Adams.  Citizens reported a southbound SUV hit a parked trailer, the elderly female driver was injured and CPR was being administered.   

Spokane Valley Fire personnel arrived and began life-saving efforts as deputies arrived to investigate.  Despite everyone’s effort to revive the female, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Traffic Unit investigators were called to the scene to continue the investigation.  Preliminary information and witness statements indicate the drive may have had some type of medical emergency prior to the actual collision with the parked vehicles however this has not been verified at this time by investigators.

SIRT Volunteers are providing traffic control while Adams is closed between 24th and 22nd during this investigation.    

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the driver along with cause and manner of death when appropriate to do so.

No one else was injured during this incident.
