Can You “ID” this Robbery Suspect?

The Spokane Valley Major Crimes Unit is asking for your help identifying the male suspect in these photos.  The suspect stole several Milwaukee drills and pushed a store employee when she tried to stop him.

On September 1, 2017, at approximately 7:20 p.m., a Home Depot Assets Protection Associate in Spokane Valley attempted to stop this suspect after she observed him fill a backpack with Milwaukee drills (bright red boxes and packaging) and batteries before walking toward a partially open rear exit door without paying for the items.

The employee confronted the suspect and identified herself as Home Depot Asset Protection.  The suspect pushed her out of the way and ducked through the partially opened lumber door.  When he bent down, he dropped the backpack spilling some of the merchandise from the bag.  The employee grabbed the backpack but the suspect turned around and moved toward her to retrieve it.  Fearing for her safety, she collected what stolen merchandise she could and retreated.

The suspect was last seen running toward Costco in the 5600 block of E. Sprague.  Responding deputies checked the area but the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a white male, 30-40 years old, taller with short brown hair.  He was wearing a white t-shirt, khaki shorts, and carrying a black backpack.

If you can help identify this suspect or have any information regarding this crime, you are urged to call Detective Mike Drapeau at 509-477-6921 reference incident #10117792.
