This afternoon, your tips led investigators to Donavan Duncan in North Spokane and he is currently talking with Detectives as this investigation moves forward. Since putting this information out four hours ago, our Detectives have received several calls and tips from all of you regarding Duncan’s location.

Major Crimes Detectives Attempting to Locate and Check the Welfare of Donavan M. Duncan
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives would like your help locating 21-year-old Donavan M. Duncan so they may check his welfare. Detectives arrested and charged an adult and a juvenile male yesterday evening suspected of kidnapping Duncan, assaulting him and setting his van on fire.
On October 24, 2017, Detectives investigating a tip regarding a kidnapping, assault and arson contacted two suspects, 20-year-old Franklin D. Smith and a juvenile male. The suspects were transported to the Public Safety Building and interviewed regarding this investigation and later booked for Kidnapping 1st Degree and Arson 2nd Degree.
Investigators believe Smith and the juvenile were involved in the kidnapping and assault of Duncan and later, the arson of Duncan’s van which was located in the parking lot of Minnehaha Park on October 21, 2017.
Detectives are attempting to locate 21-year-old Donavan M. Duncan to check his welfare and to talk to him about the kidnapping and arson investigation.
Duncan is described as a 21-year-old white male, approximately 5’05” tall, 185 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the Hillyard area, has no known address and was believed to be living in his van prior to the incident.
