
Major Crimes Investigating Suspicious Death as Possible Homicide
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives are investigating the suspicious death of a male discovered this morning in the bathroom of his residence by a family member’s caregiver as a possible homicide.
This morning, at approximately 9:15 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a residence in the 8600 block of N. Whitehouse Drive. The call was initiated by a caregiver who stated she arrived at the residence to provide assistance to a family member living there and discovered an unconscious male, covered in blood, in the bathroom.
Spokane County Fire District 9 arrived at the location and immediately provided medical assistance, but their efforts were unsuccessful, and the male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Due to the suspicious nature and injuries sustained by the male, Major Crimes Detectives were called to the scene to conduct the investigation as a possible homicide.
Detectives will be conducting interviews and processing evidence at the scene for several hours and with the known initial information do not believe there is any risk to the public associated with this investigation.
Road Closure: N. Whitehouse Drive, between W. Shasta Way and N. Weipert Drive, will be closed to traffic except for resident go to, or from, their homes.
