UPDATE: Missing Vulnerable Adult Wilma Robertson Safe
Missing Vulnerable Adult Wilma Robertson has been located. She is receiving medical attention at this time for exposure but preliminary evaluations indicate she is expected to make a full recovery.
Deputies searching the area developed a probable last seen point allowing for a coordinated search to begin. Approximately 25 volunteer members and three K9 Teams of the Spokane County Search & Rescue (SAR) Unit assisted by Spokane County Fire District 2, Spokane County Fire District 12 and Air 1 began an exhaustive search of a large area approximately 3/4 of a mile from Robertson’s residence.
At approximately 7:15 p.m. this evening, K9 SAR Volunteer Moug & K9 Max located Robertson in a ravine huddled under a tree. Robertson was provided immediate medical attention and from initial information, she is expected to be fine.
We thank all of our SAR Volunteers & K9s for always answering the call to search, day or night regardless of weather conditions, and find our Community’s lost or vulnerable.
Without the coordinated effort of the SAR Volunteers, Spokane County Fire District 2 and Spokane County Fire District 12, this search would have probably ended with fatal results.
Missing Vulnerable Adult: Wilma N. Robertson
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Deputies are attempting to locate 78-year-old Wilma N. Robertson who hasn’t been seen since approximately 12:00 p.m. this afternoon in Fairfield.
Wilma N. Robertson has dementia and may suffer from hallucinations. She was last seen in the dining area of her home located in the 500 block of S. Hilltop Ln. in Fairfield.
It is unknown where she may have gone but it is possible she may go to a church or other place of worship.
Wilma Robertson is described a white female, 5’04”, approximately 140 lbs., and was last seen wearing a gray wig, purple shirt, and blue pants. It is not known if she is wearing a coat or any other winter clothing.
