The purpose of the public hearing is to consider oral and written testimony both for and against three proposed amendments (17-ZTA-02, 17-ZTA-03, and 17-ZTA-04) to the Spokane County Zoning Code. File #17-ZTA-02 refers to the new conditions under which a school can be situated outside the Urban Growth Area. This proposal is consistent with House Bill 2243, passed on July 1, 2017. File #17-ZTA-04 clarifies that regional transportation facilities are classified as essential public facilities, which is consistent with the rules adopted under RCW 36.70A.200. File # 17-ZTA-04 defines electric vehicles infrastructure and where it is permitted, which is consistent with the rules adopted under RCW 19.27.540.
The Spokane County Planning Commission pursuant to Chapter 36.70A RCW, that a public hearing will be held on January 11, 2018 in the Board of County Commissioner's Hearing Room, Lower Level, Public Works Building, 1026 W. Broadway Avenue, Spokane, WA. The hearing will begin at 9:00 a.m. or as soon as possible thereafter and concluding with the last speaker or at 5:00 p.m., whichever comes first. If necessary, the hearing may be continued.
