[ARCHIVED] Amendment Proposed for Critical Areas Ordinance

The Spokane County Department of Building & Planning is proposing an amendment to the Spokane County Critical Area Ordinance (File No. 01-CAO-18).  The Critical Areas Ordinance includes provisions to protect wetlands, critical aquifer recharge areas, fish and wildlife conservation areas, frequently flooded areas, and geologic hazardous areas.  The amendments include changes to definitions and procedures to reflect amendments to the Growth Management Act and other technical documents used to evaluate critical areas.  

A public hearing before the Spokane County Planning Commission is scheduled for January 25, 2018, at 9:00 am or as soon as possible thereafter in the Public Works Hearing Room, located at 1026 W.
