Detectives Searching for Armed Domestic Violence Suspect

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives, investigating a violent domestic violence incident which occurred early this morning, are attempting to locate 51-year-old Kenneth E. Head Jr.  At the time, Head was armed with a pistol and possibly a shotgun.  He was reportedly very intoxicated, made threats to kill his wife, and made statements implying he may want to end his life.

Detectives urge anyone who has seen Kenneth Head Jr., or know of his location, to call 9-1-1 immediately.

On February 27, 2018, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a residence located in the 19100 block of S. Aspen Meadows Drive in Southwest Spokane County.

Arriving Deputies were told Kenneth Head Jr. was the suspect in a violent domestic violence assault where he threatened to kill his wife.  Head was armed with a .45 caliber handgun, possibly a shotgun and has access to several additional weapons.  He reportedly was very intoxicated and made statements he had “nothing else to live for” and said, “Call the cops, I’ve got my guns and I’ve lived long enough.”

The victim was not seriously injured during the assault, but due to the seriousness of this incident, combined with the potential threat Head could be suicidal, Spokane County Major Crimes Detectives were called in to continue the investigation.

Head’s family has been moved to a safe location while Detectives attempt to locate Kenneth Head Jr.

Head should be considered armed and possibly dangerous due to his actions and statements.  Citizens should not approach him.  It is our sincere hope Head contacts Detectives and makes arrangements to safely surrender.

Kenneth Head Jr. is described as a white male, 5’05” tall, weighing approximately 230 lbs. with brown hair and blue eyes.  He was last seen driving a silver 1988 Ford F250 pickup with Washington license plates C30787M.

Detectives would like your help locating 51-year-old Kenneth E. Head Jr. and urges anyone who has seen Kenneth Head Jr., or knows of his location, to call 9-1-1 immediately.
