Spokane Regional Auto Theft Task Force (SRATTF) Investigators are asking for your help identifying the male in this photo. The male is believed to have knowledge or possibly be involved with the fraudulent use of a credit card and/or the theft of a motor vehicle containing a large amount of property.
On October 31, 2018 at approximately 1:20 a.m., a Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the report of a stolen vehicle. During the initial investigation, the Deputy learned the victim was in the process of moving and the stolen vehicle was packed full of property to include a purse with credit cards, identification, checks and money. The vehicle also contained tools, a small gun safe with a pistol locked inside and miscellaneous other property of value.
On November 5, 2018, Deputy Randy Watts, assigned to the Spokane Regional Auto Theft Task Force (SRATTF), received information regarding a possible location of the stolen vehicle. He responded to the location in Airway Heights, recovered the vehicle, and notified the victim.
The victim responded to the scene and stated several items were stolen from the vehicle including a credit card, which someone attempted to use at the Wal Mart on E. Broadway in Spokane Valley four hours after the vehicle was stolen, but the transaction was declined.
SRATTF Deputy Watts went to the store, reviewed surveillance video, and obtained the screenshot of the male who appeared to try and use the credit card.
