Arriving Deputies learned the pedestrian was attempting to cross 57th Avenue, at Hailee Lane, when he was struck by an eastbound SUV.   The driver remained at the scene and was cooperative.  Impairment is not believed to be a factor.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

** Drivers, please use caution when approaching collision scenes or emergency vehicles with their lights activated.  Always obey traffic control personnel and do not drive through or around traffic control cones. This is not only extremely dangerous to everyone involved, but it also hampers the investigation and could destroy important evidence.  **

At this scene, an uninvolved driver failed to do so and drove through the scene.  The adult male driver was contacted and issued a $124 infraction.
