After receiving some snow Wednesday morning, the focus of our road districts is to ensure that the primary and secondary arterials are prepared for one-to-five inches of new snow as another storm system moves into the region tonight and Thursday.
Crews are putting down preventive deicer this morning and throughout the day, plows will be widening some of the roadways. In the southern half of the county, especially in the southeastern quadrant, crews are fighting a battle with wind gusts up to 40 mph and snow drifts. SR 27 remains closed from the Waverly Junction to Tekoa due to blowing/drifting snow and reduced visibility.
