
Gloria R. Redmann Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter 1st Degree
Sentenced to 78 Months with Credit for Time Served
On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, Gloria R. Redmann pled guilty to Manslaughter 1st Degree at a hearing held in front of Spokane County Superior Court Judge Annette Plese. Redmann’s guilty plea was a result of an investigation into the death of her ex-boyfriend, 54-year-old Michael T. Ahlstrom.
Ahlstrom’s body was discovered on November 30, 2016, under a tarp in the carport area of Redmann’s residence located in the 200 block of East Meadowmere Way, in Deer Park. Soon after, Detective developed probable cause to charge Redmann with Murder 2nd Degree. Redmann remained in custody until late October of 2017, where she posted a $50,000 bond, set by the initial trial judge, to secure her release. The court proceedings were later assigned to be heard in front of Judge Plese.
At a sentencing hearing on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, Superior Court Judge Plese sentenced Redmann to 78 months (6.5 years) with credit for time served in accordance with the plea agreement.
This investigation was conducted by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit with Major Crimes Detective Mike Drapeau assigned as the investigative lead. The case was prosecuted by Spokane County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jennifer Zappone and Preston McCollam.
