LAST CHANCE: Time is Running Out!!


You’ve probably watched a news report regarding an Officer/Deputy Involved Shooting or read a post on social media and had several questions run through your mind.  Why didn’t the officer just….???  Why did they need to…..???  

Join us, ask those questions and better yet, take part in REAL use of force training scenarios and see what you would actually do if you were in one of these rapidly evolving situations.   


Get registered for the Spring 2019 Citizens Academy, hosted by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and Spokane Valley Police Department. Time is running out!!

Attendees Needed: Spring 2019 Citizens Academy

Deputy/Officer Involved Shooting Incidents


The Spring 2019 Citizens Academy, hosted by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and Spokane Valley Police Department, is in need of participants. 


If there are not enough people who want to attend, this class may be canceled.


The Spring Citizens Academy covers Deputy/Officer Involved Shooting Incidents.  This is an excellent opportunity for you to learn and ask questions about these tragic incidents, how they affect our community and everyone involved as well as what law enforcement is doing to try and prevent future incidents.    


You will also have the rare opportunity to participate in REAL use of force training scenarios and learn about the laws governing the use of force. 


When:  Every Monday night starting April 1st, and ending on May 6th (total of 6 Monday classes). 


Time:  6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night


Where:  Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Training Center located at 6011 N. Chase Road, Newman Lake, WA.
