Can You Help Identify this Suspect?

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detective Kirk Keyser is attempting to identify the female suspect in these photos.  This suspect accompanied another female whom Detectives believe they have identified during a shoplifting theft turned violent, raising the crime to robbery.

On May 13, 2019, at approximately 5:40 p.m., this female suspect was observed entering Macy’s, located at 14710 E. Indiana in Spokane Valley, with a second female.  Both were carrying oversized purses which appeared to be empty.

A Macy’s Loss Prevention (LP) employee observed the females selecting several pieces or merchandise before entering the fitting rooms.  LP checked the rooms after the females exited and three empty hangers were found under a bench, but the merchandise was not located.

The suspects walked passed all points of sale without paying for the merchandise and began to exit the store.  The employee identified herself as Loss Prevention and asked for the merchandise to be returned.  The pictured suspect proceeded out the door toward the parking lot as the contact between the LP employee and the other female escalated and became violent.  She was able to break free and fled into the parking lot with the store’s merchandise.

The LP employee received minor injuries during the incident.

The suspect in the photos was described as a white female adult with long blond hair which was styled in two French braids.

Detectives are currently working to confirm the possible identity of the second suspect.

If you can help investigators identify this female robbery suspect or have information regarding this incident, you are asked to call Detective Kirk Keyser at 509-477-6611, reference 10064264.
