
Two New Lateral Deputies Join the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office
On May 1, 2019, Spokane County Undersheriff John Nowels swore in two new Lateral Deputies. They began their orientation/training immediately and will soon be out in patrol, serving our Community.
Deputy Craig Cupo: Deputy Cupo is 34-years-old and comes to us from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department where he began his law enforcement career in 2014. He is currently a Captain in the United States Air Force Reserves, 27th Special Operations Security Forces Squadron, and previously served on active duty from 2009-2014. He holds a Master’s Degree in National Security Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
Deputy Joshua Pratt: Deputy Pratt is 36-years-old and was born and raised in southern California. He joins our agency from the Los Angeles Police Department where he’s served since 2006. During that time, he was assigned to the patrol division where he worked a “foot beat” in an at-risk housing area.
