[ARCHIVED] Argonne Road Closed Between Columbia Drive and Upriver Drive

Argonne Road Closed Between Columbia Drive and Upriver Drive

Due to a DUI crash, N. Argonne Road, between Upriver Drive and Columbia Drive, is CLOSED.

Avista is on scene working to repair the power pole and lines, but the repair could take several hours, causing significant traffic problems for this morning’s commute. Please use an alternate route and leave a few minutes early as this closure will probably cause higher than normal traffic congestion delays in the area.

On September 24, 2019, just after 1:00 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a vehicle vs. power pole crash on N. Argonne, near Wellesley Avenue.

The adult male driver of the vehicle was not injured, but he was arrested for DUI.

While Deputies worked the crash scene, a second vehicle drove past the marked patrol cars.  The adult male driver of that vehicle was contacted by Deputies and also arrested for DUI.

Avista crews are at the scene working to repair the powerlines and pole, but the repairs are expected to last several hours and through this mornings commute.

N. Argonne Road will be closed between Upriver Drive and Columbia Drive to ALL traffic until further notice, while the powerlines and pole are repaired.
