Video: Robbery Suspect Hits Employee with Vehicle

Can You Help Identify?

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detective Kirk Keyser would like your help identifying this robbery suspect.  The suspect stole food from the Petro Station and fled.  The suspect intentionally hit the female employee with his vehicle as he drove away.

On December 23, 2019, just after 3:10 p.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a robbery at the Petro Station located at 10506 W. Aero Rd. in West Spokane County.

The adult female employee stated she observed the adult male suspect grab approximately $3.00 worth of food from the roller grill and flee from the store without paying.  She followed the suspect into the parking lot, yelling for him to stop.  The suspect got into the driver’s seat of a white two-door 90’s Honda with a sunroof.  The employee stood in front of the vehicle while attempting to take a picture.  The suspect pulled forward nudging her.  He then accelerated, hitting the victim, causing her to land on the hood.  The suspect applied the brakes sharply, causing the victim to slide off the driver’s side of the hood before accelerating again, striking the victim again, knocking her to the ground as he drove away.

The suspect was described as a white male, 25-30 years of age, taller, possibly 6’02”, 200 lbs with red hair.

The victim stated a blonde female was seated in the passenger’s seat of the car during the incident.

The victim was provided medical attention at the scene for a sore knee and ankle but was not transported by ambulance.  She later sought additional treatment on her own.

The Honda appeared to be full of property/trash, indicating to the victim the suspect and possibly the female, may be living out of the vehicle.

Investigators hope the unidentified female passenger, who may not have known the suspect’s criminal intentions, would contact them to help identify the suspect and provide a statement.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or can help identify the male suspect is urged to call Detective Keyser at 509-477-6611, reference #10180094.
