Montgomery Dr. Between Dartmouth and University CLOSED
Spokane Valley Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Investigators responded to a report a semi-truck and trailer that pulled down several powerlines across the roadway. Initial information indicates a line may have been sagging when the semi-truck caught the lines since the truck’s height is below the maximum limit allowed.
Montgomery Dr., between Dartmouth Ln. and University Rd. is closed to traffic while the roadway is cleared and repairs are made. At this time, it is not known precisely how long this will take, but the road is not expected to open until later this afternoon or evening.
Initial information indicates one of the lines must have been sagging as the semi-truck is below the maximum height allowed.
No one was injured during this incident. Several Avista crews, and other service crews, are at the scene and are working to clear the lines and restore power to the local area. This remains an active investigation, and it is not known which line may have been low, why, or which company owns it.
