One-Vehicle Fatal Crash on N. Rambo Road

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit Investigators responded to the scene of a one-vehicle fatal crash in West Spokane County last night.  The adult male driver, and only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

On February 25, 2020, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Spokane County Deputies and an Airway Heights Police Officer responded to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on N. Rambo Road, near W. Deno Road.

They arrived on scene, assisted by Spokane County Fire and AMR personnel.  Life-saving efforts were attempted, but unfortunately, the adult male driver, who had been ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Traffic Unit Investigators were requested, and they responded to the scene to continue the investigation.

SCOPE Incident Response Team (SIRT) also responded to assist with traffic control.

Initial information indicates the Chevy pickup was traveling south on Rambo when it started to leave the west side of the roadway and onto the shoulder.  The driver corrected, causing the truck to cross over the centerline and onto the east side shoulder of the road.  The driver corrected again, and the vehicle began to roll.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and speed appears to be a factor in the fatal crash.
