Spokane County Environmental Services is open to serve the public, while observing the “Social Distancing” recommendation of six-feet to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.
Sewer bills are due on Wednesday, March 25th and we are asking the public to pay their bills by phone or online (see below). However, we will also continue to accept payments by mail and in person at the County Treasurer’s Office.

* Payments by Mail: Please submit your payment stubs (along with a check or money order) payable to Spokane County Environmental Services to P.O. Box 2355, Spokane, WA 99210-2355. Please do not mail cash.
* Payments in Person: Payments can be made by cash, check or money order in the Treasurer’s office located at 1116 W. Broadway Avenue, Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., excluding holidays. For your convenience, a payment drop box is located just inside the main entrance to the courthouse.
With rationing underway of an assortment of personal care items such as toilet paper, baby wipes, etc. Environmental Services also has an important reminder for the public: Only toilet paper should be flushed. That’s right – those so-called “flushable” wipes or paper towels need to be tossed in the garbage.
Speaking of garbage…or rather the Regional Solid Waste System…we will continue to operate the North County and Valley Transfer Stations seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Waste to Energy Plant is also open seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. To check the current status, go to https://www.spokanecounty.org/2013/Regional-Disposal-Locations-Hours-Fees.
This is a challenging time for our community – while we will announce any changes in our hours or operations, we recommend that you also check our website at www.spokanecounty.org/es
