
Detectives Attempt to Identify Second Robbery Suspect
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives are attempting to positively identify a second Robbery suspect. The suspects violently assaulted a Plato’s Closet employee who tried to stop them from stealing several hundred dollars of merchandise.
Major Crimes Detectives are working to identify a second suspect in a violent Robbery that occurred on June 29, 2020, at Plato’s Closet on N. Division.
Two female suspects attempted to steal several hundred dollars of merchandise and were confronted by a store employee. When the employee tried to stop one of the female suspects, the suspect began to assault her violently. As the assault continued, the second female suspect joined in the assault.
The suspects struck the victim in the head with a metal tumbler, threw her to the ground, kicked her, and punched her several times. Despite their brutal assault, the victim sustained only minor injuries.
Through the subsequent investigation, one of the suspects, the female in the yellow, was identified by Detective Bohanek as 32-year-old Heather M. Roberts.
Patrol Deputies contacted Roberts on July 12, 2020, when they responded to an unrelated call for service.
Roberts was arrested, and transported to the Public Safety Building to be interviewed. Detective Bohanek advised her of her rights and she declined to answer questions. Roberts was booked into the Spokane County Jail for Robbery 1st Degree.
The second female suspect wearing white shorts and a black shirt has yet to be identified, and Investigators would like your help.
