Sheriff’s Office Hiring Office Clerical/Administrative Staff 

(Sheriff’s Technical Assistant 2) 

 

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is hiring for entry-level office clerical/administrative support staff positions.  There are several openings, and applications will be accepted until Friday, December 4, 2020, at noon.    

 

General Job Description:   Perform and take responsibility for various technical and/or clerical duties in a law enforcement agency using various computer programs and/or operating technical equipment. Perform and be accountable for general responsibilities inherent to properly maintaining the office of the division where assigned. Perform lower-level accounting work; maintain fingerprint files, handle receptionist duties, including multi-line phones and direct contact with the public; and maintain attendance records for vacation, sick leave, holidays, and comp time.

 

Salary:

$14.48 - $19.54 Hourly 

$2,510.02 - $3,386.94 Monthly 

$30,120.24 - $40,643.28 Annually

 

Total Compensation: $38,553.90 - $52,023.40 annually. Total compensation is an estimate based upon base compensation, median retirement fund contributions, and current employer-paid health and related benefit contribution rates (including medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability, and leave). The actual total will vary depending upon each employee's enrollment choices.

 

Minimum Requirements:  Must be a citizen of the United States of America or a lawful permanent resident who can read and write the English language; high school graduate or equivalent. Two years, full-time, general office and/or secretarial experience. May substitute one year of additional education in office practices, secretarial science, or related coursework for up to one of the required experience. Keyboard accurately at 45 WPM. Prefer six months to one year of experience with Microsoft Office software.
