SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane's sheriff wants you to know about a summer program that keeps underprivileged kids on the straight and narrow.

Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich wanted to give a pep talk to the 80 youngsters enrolled in the Spokane Eastside Reunion Basketball Camp on Tuesday.

Most of the players are students from schools around Spokane and Spokane Valley are at the camp on scholarships.

The group meets four times a week at Underhill Park and spend the day with coaches helping them with discipline and teamwork.

Most of the kids' parents are at work and so school districts bus the children in to a safe place where they can be supervised during the day.
