[ARCHIVED] Homicide Suspect Gilberto Delgado in Custody

Spokane Valley Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives, who have been continually and aggressively working this horrific incident, learned members of the U.S. Marshal’s Office and law enforcement personnel in Southeastern Idaho took homicide suspect Gilberto Delgado into custody without incident.

Investigators here in Spokane Valley believed Delgado may have fled to the area of Pocatello Idaho and have been in contact with law enforcement agencies along the possible travel routes. They have also been in contact with the U.S. Marshal’s Office, as all of these agencies worked together to locate Delgado and safely take him into custody.

This morning, a black Dodge Dart, matching the description of the vehicle Delgado was believed to have fled the scene in, was observed on I-15 near Pocatello. They contacted him in a parking lot and Delgado was taken into custody without incident.

We would like to thank all of the citizens who have provided tips as well as all the law enforcement agencies who have been working with our detectives to locate this homicide suspect. Working together, the suspect, Delgado was arrested a little over 24 hours after this horrific incident.
