With more than 51-hundred lane miles of road to maintain (the largest county road system in Washington State) Spokane County road crews began early this morning preparing for today’s storm by applying deicer in time for the morning commute. Currently, crews in all four road districts are working to keep the emergency routes and arterials clear of snow, and will continue working through the night plowing, sanding and deicing. Motorists are asked to stay 50-feet behind road equipment and to never attempt passing on the right side. In addition, please drive for road conditions (slow down) and allow plenty of time/distance for stopping.
