
Death Investigation on E. 4th Avenue in Spokane Valley
Spokane Valley Deputies and Traffic Unit Investigators are in the beginning stages of an investigation after the discovery of a deceased male early this morning. The scene has been secured, and 4th Avenue is closed to traffic between S. Evergreen Road and S. Best Road. Please avoid this area while the investigation is conducted.
On February 15, 2022, at approximately 7:40 am., Spokane Valley Deputies responded to the 14100 block of E. 4th Avenue for the report of a male lying on the ground near the side of the road.
The caller stated the male was possibly hit by a vehicle and might be deceased but was unsure.
Deputies and Spokane Valley Fire Fighters arrived and confirmed the male was deceased. The scene was secured, and Traffic Unit Investigators were requested.
The initial belief is this appears to possibly be a hit-and-run incident. However, the investigation is in its early stages as Investigators work to determine what actually occurred based on the evidence.
4th Avenue is closed to traffic between S. Evergreen and S. Best Road. Please avoid the area while this incident is conducted.
