
Suspect Arrested for Harassment-Threats to Kill and Cyberstalking
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Investigators identified and arrested a 17-year-old juvenile on felony charges of Harassment-Threats to Kill, and Cyberstalking yesterday evening. The investigation began after the victim reported that she had received several threatening messages via Snapchat from an unknown person. After his arrest, the suspect was booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center.
On March 18, 2022, the female victim received threatening Snapchat messages from an unknown person. In these threats, the suspect threatened to shoot the victim and empty a handgun on her. These threats were specific, repetitive and the suspect claimed to know where the victim attended school and what she looked like.
The incident was reported, and an investigation was initiated. The victim lives in Spokane County but attends school in Lincoln County. Because of this, several agencies, including the ESD 101 Threat Assessment Team, Reardan School District, Reardan Police Department, and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, all worked together to gain information and assess potential safety concerns.
Through the investigation, the suspect was identified as a 17-year-old juvenile. Detectives located and arrested the suspect on March 22, 2022, at approximately 5:30 pm., near the intersection of N. Regal Street and E. Garland Avenue.
He was transported and booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center for felony charges of Harassment-Threats to Kill, and Cyberstalking.
This remains an active investigation, and additional charges are possible, including potential charges filed by the Reardan Police Department.
